The Traveling Goblin Cafe - Cold brew coffee, blueberry lemonade, teas and vegan chocolates!

The original Wilkins Coffee gained fame in the early 1950’s, when Jim Henson (a few years before he created The Muppets) was hired to create a series of 6-second video ads. The ads featured two puppets—Wilkins and Wontkins—engaged in a comedic and deadly conflict over Wontkins’ refusal to drink Wilkins coffee. Upon discovering these old commercials, we immediately became enamored and then disheartened that Wilkins Coffee was no longer available to purchase. Then…we decided to fix that!
We claimed the name and re-launched the brand with a twist of our own in 2023, during the solar eclipse on the morning of October 14—offering free coffee to the goblin horde gathered in a mystical place called Havenroot in Veneta, Oregon. Then the story took a dark turn…we started experimenting with the alchemical possibilities of dark chocolate and coffee combined. “Goblin grenades” were born and became instant sell-out products at Holiday Market and other regional events from Eugene to Portland, and Wilkins Coffee officially became a coffee company with a chocolate problem: “Wilkins Coffee & Unseelie Chocolates.”
Everything we make is vegan, organic, gluten-free and crafted with as many locally-sourced ingredients as possible. The couverture we use for our chocolate is made from cacao that is 100% organic, fair trade and traceable, and is produced in a dairy-free and gluten-free production facility. We make a variety of inventive bonbons* and instant mocha and cocoa drinks in tempered chocolate shells. Look for us in Booth #333 at Holiday Market this season, with nitro cold-brew coffee, specialty teas and lemonades, and boxes of handcrafted chocolates! You’ll know us by our goblin ears…
As a business, we are committed to nurturing and enriching the local creator community and will continue to seek opportunities to create partnerships with other Oregon food producers.
*Unlike truffles, which have a cocoa powder shell in a ball shape with simple decorations, bonbons are shiny, with a flat bottom, and colorful decorations. They were originally given as gifts among the nobility of the French court, a secret treat in fun shapes that disguised their nature.
