About Sophie Navarro

Eugene
, OR

An artist since a young age, Sophie has been promoting her artwork for over 40 years, primarily based in Eugene, Oregon. Her deep appreciation for fashion designs found in old Vogue books serves as a primary source of inspiration, fueling her love for patterns, lines, and color. Sophie’s artistic process often involves creating rich textures through mixed media, incorporating elements such as stationery, tissue paper, paper flowers and butterflies, sparkling glitter, and brush pens. She is currently expanding her material repertoire by working with yarn, exploring techniques like needle punching and knitting. Her early artistic development was nurtured by her mother, Lydie Navarro, an artist who painted ceramic tiles in her own unique style, encouraging Sophie’s first attempts to mimic and then developed her own creative flow.
