JJ’s Pet Treats began in the summer of 2020, during a time of uncertainty when many people, myself included, were forced to pivot. After losing my job at a local bakery, I chose to use the opportunity to go to college. What started as a small hobby to help cover tuition grew into a business that has ultimately supported me through six years of college, allowing me to graduate debt-free.
Today, JJ’s Pet Treats offers 15 varieties of dog treats and 3 cat treats, all made in small batches using organic, grain and gluten-free ingredients, with no added salts, sugars, fillers, or preservatives. All of my treats are handmade in Eugene, Oregon, where access to fresh, high-quality ingredients makes it possible to source locally whenever the season allows. From locally sourced salmon to hand-picked blueberries from nearby farms, I prioritize using organic, pesticide-free produce and support regional growers whenever possible.
Quality control starts at home. My Furr-babies (three dogs and four cats) are my most enthusiastic taste testers and, occasionally, my biggest thieves. If a treat passes their standards, I know it’s worth sharing. Their health, happiness, and excitement are central to every recipe I make.
Our pets are family, and their time with us is short and precious. I believe caring for them means choosing simple, nourishing ingredients and offering a wholesome reward you can feel confident sharing with the animals you love.
