The Saturday Market Board of Directors is committed to steering the Market while staying true to our community-focused mission.

Market Board Quick Facts

  • Up to nine people serve on the board, with seven of those positions held by Market members.
  • The Board is elected by Market members twice a year for an 18-month term.
  • The time commitment is about 9-12 hours per month, which includes monthly meetings, executive sessions, correspondence, and various projects.
  • Additional responsibilities are required for the Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Notetaker positions.
  • The board typically meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. Remote participation is an option.
  • Executive sessions, open only to Board members and invited guests, may occur after Board meetings.
  • You can submit pressing member concerns in writing at least one week before a scheduled board meeting.
