The Eugene Saturday Market invites local food producers to participate in its Featured Local Food Producer program for the 2017 season. This is a great opportunity for participating businesses to reach new customers and to promote their products. After participating in the Featured Local Food Producer program, businesses will also be able to sell approved pre-packaged food items in the craft area of Saturday Market.
Selected businesses will sell in the Saturday Market's International Food Court for either two or four consecutive Saturdays. The owner will need to become a Saturday Market member ($50 annual fee) and pay $13+10% of their sales per day. The Saturday Market provides and sets up a 4’x4’ booth structure with cover and counter; your business provides its own signage. Participating businesses are required to follow Market's vendor guidelines (in the Member Handbook) and prepackaged food requirements (found on page 5 of the Craft Specific Guidelines), most notably Market's "the maker is the seller" rule stipulating that the owner of the business or family member must operate the booth at all times for the duration of the Market day. The Saturday Market is open from 10 AM until 5 PM. Producers must also have their products approved by the Standards Committee at one of their monthly meetings, 5 PM on the third Wednesday of each month.
Preference will be given to start-up businesses that source and package their products within 400 miles of Eugene, Oregon and do not already have a storefront.
The Saturday Market will promote your participation at Market with postings on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram during the Market day, and the schedule of participating businesses will be promoted monthly in the Market's customer email newsletter. Photos of you and your products and info about your business may also be used in print advertising or other media postings.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to working with you.
