Pamela Raynor and her daughter Erin Morang are new to the Market this season. In just eight weeks and sixteen square feet, they have completely caught my attention and earned my admiration. The have managed to take a situation that most Marketeers find challenging, selling in a 4' x 4' space, and turn it into a complete, sophisticated jewelry boutique. I was rushing by a couple of weeks ago, and screeched to a halt at the corner of Oak and S. Park in front of this wonder of efficiency and beauty. Fortunately, I had camera in hand, and instantly bestowed upon them Beautiful Booth of the Month honors.
So many little details add up to pull the space together into a cohesive whole. The colors are nicely coordinated, from umbrella down to table cloth, warm neutrals to highlight the colors of the jewelry. They have managed to get several levels of display going, and the garland of silk flowers running through the display ties it all together so nicely. The corner piece on the right serves as a windbreak, but also defines the boundary of the space and stops the eyes before they wander to the next booth's display. I can't wait to see what they'll do with a whole 8' x 8' booth!
However great the display is, though, it's the product that really counts. Their jewelry is indeed whimsical and truly unique, using innovative variations on wire-wrapping, and unusual combinations of beads and semi-precious stones as you can see. Definitely a style, but with seemingly infinite variety.
Pamela and Erin don't have a permanent booth space, so you'll have to seek them out on your own, or just ask at the Info booth. Stop by and enjoy the whimsey!
