Christene George's Cheyenne Shirt Company booth always looks perfectly neat and organized. A beautiful custom wood rack holds her large tapestry and leather bags so that all of them can be easily admired. Racks on the opposite wall hold smaller bags and her beautiful western and aloha shirts. The simplicity of the booth and it's layout puts the focus on her fine products. Christene has been a Market member for about fifteen years, and has been making her living off her Cheyenne Shirt Company for twenty years. She says she's got "thread in my blood," as her father and grandfather were both tailors. She didn't enjoy sewing at all as a teenager, but rediscovered the pleasures of the craft after finishing an art degree. As you can see, she has a great eye for beautiful fabrics, and her craftsmanship is superb. The fully lined large bags are a great pleasure to travel with, and the shirts are beautiful and durable as well. She also makes gorgeous leather clothing including fringed and beaded jackets, chaps and more. You can find Christene and her Beautiful Booth in space 34, next to the Fountain on the West block. |
